my np242 TC has, what i think is a bad internal chain. when in 4 there is a sort of grinding noise. it is hard to pinpoint, as the noise travels thru the drive shaft, etc... but im gonna still say TC. it has progressively gotten louder, but the 4wd still works fully. i have yet to check with the local JY's, ebay doesnt have a good price. to me a good price is under 200. should i do a rebuild, or look for replacement TC? thanks fellas.

living in vt, its nice to have to 242's more "versatile" ability. i know the 231's are more rugged, but i dont do that much aggressive wheeling, so ruggedness isnt as crucial.
