The rear wiper on my 2001 XJ seems to not have enough power, it will work for awhile (slowly) and then stop, and if there is any load on it (snow) then it really struggles to get going. I'm thinking that the motor is bad and was wondering if that IS in fact the problem and how expensive it would be to replace and how easily it would be to do myself.

 

Hi, hey mine does the same thing, my mechanic says its the motor, expensive repair, old 125-new300[/B]. I decided to hand wipe clean for a while,

 

I had the same problem. I just turned it on, grabbed the wiper and when I felt it try to move, I helped it along. I did that about 10 times and now it works fine.
