rear wiper
alright so I have a 99 Cherokee. The other day the rear window wiper decides not to work anymore? what could be the cause?

The wiper motor. 1st check to make sure its still getting power. If so, you need a new one. If not, check fuses etc and where power is lost.

look in the boot that connects in the door jam. Its where the wire on mine gathered and broke along with others. If they haven't snapped yet, they are probably frayed.
