I broke the stock rear wiper switch so I decided to instal an on/off/on switch instead where up would be wiper only and down would be wiper/wash. I can't figure out the wiring schematic. Any help would be appreciated.

It's one of these two. I have a 2001 Cherokee but one schematic says '91 Cherokee, and the other is Grand Wagoneer. I've also posted the stock connection so you can see what wires I gave to work with. Again, I want to re-wire this to a on/off/on switch where up is wipers and down is wiper/fluid.

 

Noticed this was a very old string with no answer given. The schematic came from a Haynes and the schematic title is misleading. Use the "Grand Wagoneer" schematic for a later model XJ (97-close of model). Not sure the desired effect was ever achieved, but interesting concept. Curious to see if it worked.
