I am replacing the shocks in my 96xj with 3in. lift shocks because of the 2in. bb. As I go to remove the rear top shock bolt, it spins, but won't come out. How do I remove that bolt?

What? Don't the rear shocks have bar-pins at the top?
If one of the two screws holding the top of the shock in is spinning, you need to cut/grind it off and redo it for the new one.

OOOOOOOHHH!
I read that and assumed it was the front shock, 2evil is correct. Cut that beeeyach off and replace.
Do a search for cherokee broken rear shock bolt. No, you dont need to cut a hole in your floor, fishing works as well
