Default Rear tire carrier suggestions

So I'm looking for a little wisdom here. I'm interested in purchasing a rear tire carrier and am open to suggestions on any that are of course of reasonable price, but am also wondering if I am going to have to either remove my bumper to instal one, or cause body damage? Are there any routes I could take that wouldn't cause damage or me having to remove the bumper?
I've never owned a vehicle with one, and will admit I'd be doing it for appearance, and the added space in the back would be nice too.
