Well if it bolts to the rear bumper then i would say no because the bumper will most likely break off.

nope. your sheet steel body won't hold a tire carrier bolted to it without some reinforcement, the bumper wont hold one because it's too week, and you can't really screw it into the fiberglass.

your best bet is to find a cargo rack and put it in there.

Yea if you want to bolt it to the quarter panel then there is a write up on madxj, they have done it but the carrier has messed up the rear hatch like a couple times because the holder is also on the stock rear bumper.

that's a factory tire carrier.

I advise against considering one. they're fine for factory size tires, but anything else is too heavy.

XJs had them from the factory. It would be the same as the Rodeo/Trooper style but as said above they were for stock size size tires. Although the Isuzu's had bigger stock tires. You would need to reinforce the **** out of it.

from my experience when i had my tire on my roof rack it tended to double as an air damn when i would drive on the highway. im making one either this weekend or next weeked out of an old bike carrier that attatches to your hitch that has a swing on it. heres a pic of what one guys did on this forum that im going off of.
