Rear Tag Inserts
On my 88 Cherokee Pioneer on the rear lift gate. The inserts that hold the tag bolts are bad. The lift gate is fiberglass and the inserts did have a name under the rubber washer. But i have forgotten that name. Does anyone know the name of these? They are round and have a rubber washer on top. I would like some for another rpoject as well

Seriously...I appreciate this. Jack Nuts with rainy
Tight seal. Ive also got an issue with my lift gate panel. The plastice inserts are toast as well as the fiberglass holes are way to big now. I thought of using this type of insert and using a stainless bolt with deco washer to hold panel on. Should work. Thanks

I have a simple solution to plate holes in the fiberglass gate that are too large (original insert missing). Take a couple of regular short rubber tire valve stems and cut approx in half, remove brass insert, push modded stems into holes untill they "snap" into place. Now go to your hardware collection and find a suitable push in sheet rock anchor to fit the hole, install anchors in valve stems and then install plate!
