the problem with trying to find junkyard springs to bolt right in an XJ is the highly offset spring pins

from what i can gather, the only springs that are the same length are 52" chevy springs (not EXACTLY the same length, but very close) but they would also extend your wheelbase roughly 3 inches and would require brake line and driveshaft lengthening. also possibly gastank modifications/relocation

but they would

dodge van springs work, but are a little longer at the rear. but that gives
you more down travel. droop

Default junkyard specials.

I used 93? dakota springs 4x4 . I cut the ends off of them, took the packs apart, cleaned them and painted them. Kept the very top spring of my xj pack and added the dakota springs under it. 4" see my pics.
