Hopefully this is in the right place, if it isnt, im sorry. My 87 xj didn't cone with rear shoulder belts. I know 91+ have them, so im going to go to a salvage yard and get all the parts. My question is, will they just go on or is it more involved? Im a newb with cherokees just got into them so any help would be appreciated. I know they had a kit out but I guess it is no longer available. Please help a newb out. Thanks.

 

If the older cherokee didnt come with them, I'd pull the headliner, or ask someone who has first, to see if the mounting point for the shoulder belt is on the roof, if it isnt, you are in for some fab to add it.

 

The headliner is already out. There are holes up there, and I read somewhere that there is suppose to be a welded nut but mine doesn't have it. Could someone possibly post a picture of what a 91+ looks like without a headliner up there? Just so I could tell if I have the 'mounts' or not. Thanks!

 

Someone has had to have done this, I have found a bunch of threads where people talked about it, but surely someone has done it? I really need to do this but need a few pointers. Thanks ahead of time.
