If your willing to do the work involved.
Autozone has Gabriel Pro-Guards for $24.99 I think it was.
I just changed mine.
Get them for a Comanche Truck.
Then you will have to remove your old bar pins and press them in the new shocks.
I use a sawzall to cut open the eye and rubber on the old shocks.
then I oil it down with a little tranny fluid and press the bar pin into the Comanche shocks.
When your read to do the front with a 3" Lift, same thing but get shocks for a Wrangler.

They also sell Rancho RS5000s that will bolt right in and will last a long time and ride pretty good too.

The RC 9000's can also be a great option for your XJ's rear shocks...

Can't believe you couldn't find shocks...very common item. Get a set of bar pin eliminators, that way you won't have to mess with the rusty bolts on the cherokee that break all the time. Many places online to get shocks from, just do a little research and get whats right for your application.

again, if you're looking to do work you can just get stock JK shocks. they're cheap, you can usually get all 4 of them, and they ride pretty good. only thing i dont like is they seem a bit short on my 3" lift

Just order from roughcountry.com or rustysoffroad.com they will be well priced and work well to. For the rear you dont really need anything fancy. I ride the rough country 8000s front and rear, no problems/ complaints. Also do read for the broken bolts on rear shocks b4 you decide to do this and might as well start spraying PB blaster (found at walmart) or some other lub (not wd 40) now. Believe me, i started a week b4 and sprayed them 3 times. Snapped all four lol. And good luck to you sir.

I just ordered a set of these zone offroad Nitro for 4.5" lift 160 for a set seemed reasonable to me, and I don't think the ride too bad at all. Especially before the bigger tires

others may have a more valid opinion on these, I have only had these for a week

Good luck in your search
