It works and the work involved was nill. I found it better than being on my back.

The work involved was nill and it works well for me. Sure beats being on my back fighting the rusted mess.

I guess lol did you at least tear the carpet out and leave it like that lol? There was no fighting with my bolts I sprayed them with wd 40 and all but one snapped in about 2 seconds! Torch worked well! If I actually had descent bits at the time I would have just drilled and tapped! and anti cease the crap out of it!

I rolled the carpet out of the way !! It was the bolts up inside that gave me fits. The one had broke off, the other side had loosened then stripped. I was done fooling with it. My biggest concern was future rust problems where I had cut the holes. So far the primer and paint is doing it's job. Of course I don't get the ol' rig mirror deep in the muck and mud much any more.

wow i guess i got lucky. all my bolts came out pretty easy. somehow the whole axle well under the back of my jeep is crazy clean. the axle breather nut that holds down the rear brake line was crossthreader from the p.o. so when i had to get in there to tap the axle tube, it was really nice. didnt even jack up the truck. just sat with the axle at my belly and i had enough room to sit up straight lol, no rust up there either.
