Default Rear Seat Compatability

I'm looking for some rear seats to match my front (needing tan leather). I have a '99 Cherokee. Will any bench seat bolt up or are they different for 1997-2001?

They should all bolt up. I just put some out of an 01 into my 92.

when i upgraded from pre 97 seats to post 97 seats on my 96 they weren't a complete bolt up.

basically, the post 1997 top half bolts on to each side while the pre 97 seats had a stud on one side and a bolt on the other side (both types have this same setup on the bottom half of the bench).

so when i did it i had to cut that stud off my old seat back and tack weld it onto the new seat.

the bottom section swapped right over though.

I actually decided to go for something different. Since my front seats are from a 1994 Grand Cherokee Limited, I got some matching rear seats from another 1994 Grand Cherokee Limited that are in great shape. I know it will require modification, but my stepdad will help me with that! Can't wait to put them in, hopefully within the next few weeks!

Best part? Only $25 for the whole rear seat!
