Default Rear main seal keeps leaking

So i changed out my leaking rear main seal twice now. The first time i never torqued the rear main seal bearing cap so the leak was worse than before. Then i did it again and followed the directions from this site http://jeep-xj.info/HowtoRearMain.htm and torqued the bearing cap down properly. Now it still leaks but not as bad. I poured in oil after putting everything back together. Should i have allowed the anabolic seal to cure before adding oil? Could i get away with torquing the bearing cap down a few extra ft. lbs.? is there anything im missing thats not in this DIY write up?

any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Check your oil filter adapter. I've commonly seen oil drip from this and run down the side of the block to the lip on the oil pan and then makes it way back towards the rear main seal.

If you've eliminated this already the leak is more likely coming from the pan surface area of the pan gasket. Did you put a dab of RTV on the ends of the RMS?

I've done the seal on the oil filter and that one hasn't leaked since. I applied sealant as instructed to by the DIY write up. I just wanna know what I can do differently if I go at it again that will help insure it'll stop the leak indefinitely

Also replaced valve cover seal spring of this year. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a thorough check
