Hi, Ive been trying to install speakers in the rear hatch in my 1994 XJ Sport. I cannot locate any factory speaker wires back here. Does anyone know where I can find them? Or what colors they are.
I have a wiring diagram, but the colors of wire from behind the radio do not match the colors at the speakers in the doors, so I dont know what to do.

A thought, my 96 does not have speaker in the tailgate, but I do have a speaker bar attached to the roof above the rear hatch. Maybe the wires run under the headliner towards the rear of the vehicle. The other place to look would be under the plastic pillar covers at both corners of the rear cargo area.

 

There is a black 8 pin connector inside the tailgate. 4 of those wires are used for the 2 speakers.

Left side is 20BR/LB and 20BR/YL
Right side is 20DB/WT and 20DB/OR
