I search the forums and didn't find an answer. The rear hatch indicator dash light stay on even though the hatch is shut. The odd thing is that if I turn the headlights on, the light goes off. Any ideas? Also, we're is the switch that tell the jeep the hatch is open? This is a 2001 Cherokee 60th Anv Ed.

The switch is on the hatch handle mechanism. You have to remove the tailgate trim to get to it.
