any one hear cut off back hatch to make a bed in the back?

It's been done many times. Might try a search but not sure if there are any pics of it on this site. Search naxja.org cause I know many folks over there have done that.

i can get it done 4 300dollors but decided against it untill i really want to go hard core and get a roll cage and stuff.

to each his own, just as long as you reinforce it. the body on an xj is structural because of it being a unibody. ive seen them where they were like the one above out to one that had integrated an explorer hatch and some that were not closed off but had a cage put in them.
