Default Rear drivers side wheel

Last night I jacked up my 95 Cherokee country and the rear drivers side wheel is moving in and out on the axel, I am thinking the wheel bearing is going out but it also could be the c clip worn out, has anyone else had this ? I have a Chrysler 8.25 rear axel.

It's moving about 1/8th of an inch. I had a bad wreck in a jeep Cherokee last year after a tire delamnated and didn't want to roll another vehicle.

I wouldnt worry until it hits 1/4" or more, but if that 1/8" is a concern just pull the cover and take a look. No harm doing that. Good excuse to change the fluid.
