Default Rear differential question

I have a 96 XJ 4x4. The factory build sheet says my rear axle is a Dana 35C. Can anyone tell me if this is a C lip or non C clip rear end? I know the axle is original to the XJ.

yes it is a c clip. the c stands for custom order from dana.

the only non c clips were pre 90.

Thanks for the info. Thinking about doing the swap to rear discs down the road a bit.

one benefit of going to disc on a c clip axle, the backing plate should hold the axle in if you were ever to snap one or drop a clip while wheeling.
this can easily get you out of the trail without becoming creative to help secure the wheel/axle with some driftwood and ratchet straps to keep the axle from walking out. i've seen a few different ideas, non of which really worked out too well. lol.
