Dude rear coil is a HUGE step & wouldn't be safe as a DD! Rear coil is for hard core crawlers, & more of a tow rig (Like tow it down to moab & then tow it back)!!!

Is it low cost? NO! Will it ride better? Yes. Can you get more travel/better articulation? Yes/most likely.
Basically it in pretty involved to do a 4 link rear setup on XJ's but is possible.

I didn't say it shouldn't be done I'm just saying its not for the average joe! " i will be dd and weekend warrior, NOTHING SPECIAL..." Yes it could have a softer ride, but it will also sway like mad coming around curves at free way speeds!!!
Only if it's pure booty fab and not well planned. There are plenty of ways to build a safe and streetable 4 link rear suspension for an XJ. A well designed triangulated 4-link does not require a trackbar but a rear swaybar for street use is a good idea, especially if you are going to tow with it.
I'd stongly recommend getting your read on before you start building anything.
Pirate4x4 has tons of great info.
Proper geometry is key! http://mysite.verizon.net/triaged/4l...tml/index.html

Rock Krawler makes a kit, you need to buy coils and shocks seperately.

TnT Customs also makes a kit...

I'm sute there are other manufacturers making coil conversion kits...
Personally, I would call Deaver or National and have custom leafs made (~$700). With custom leafs, ride quailty and flex will be outstanding, and you will retain load carrying capacity/stability... not to mention saving $2000+ over a coil setup.

Not hating on you man.. this is a pretty big step. There is way more involved then just.. swapping a few parts. Unless you are an accomplished welder, and know what you are doing this is a job/project left till you have been wheeling/building rigs for a few yrs.
