Default rear blinkers?

i have a 1999 and when i got my jeep my blinkers worked fine. but one day my blinkers all the sudden started acting up. when i would put me left blinker on, my flashers would engage, but only in the back, so i changed all the bulbs and put in a multi switch hoping that would work. so i try my left blinker, and it worked, then i tried my right blinker and my flashers came on that side, so the multi switch just reversed it. any ideas on whats going on or how to fix it?

on my 99 i can get the flashers/blinkers to do some odd stuff when I use the flashers, sometimes the blinkers wont work, or they do some other things, i can usually get everything back to normal by jiggling the flasher switch around, its at least worth a try to jiggle/push it around and try the blinkers at the same time to see if something else happens
