Default Really Bad Wobble

I bought an 89 cherokee pioneer, 200k miles, 4x4, 4.0ol I6, Auto Trans. I test drove it and everything seemed great. As I was driving it home (30 mile trip) it started wobbling out of no where like the "death wobble" I have read about scared me thought I wouldnt make it. Any idea? I dont have tags and all 4 wheels are different... But it didnt wobble until about 20 miles. Anything simple I should look @ before I work on getting it ready for the road? I bought it off a person that used it on the farm. Everything is pretty rough on it except the engine and trans, both run great. I am going to get 4 rims that match and buy me 4 tires and get them balanced but do you think that wouldve caused it to just start wobbling in the middle of no where? Also even at 15 mph speeds I can feel it like something grabs on every rotation or something.. Kind of wierd.

Start by checking all of your suspension components, make sure everything is tight and not worn, lift up each side of the front and rear individually and check for play in the wheels, spin the wheel and listen to the wheel bearings.

Check to see if your tires are balanced, my old tires were seperating and vehicles following me said they could see the tires skip off the ground. (yup, here cars can talk)

Yep check out everything in the front end. Mine did it to me tonight, between the alignment being off cuz of the lift I recently put in And the outta balance tires it started wobbleing at 60. And this was on a nicely repaved concrete road.

Try to check your tires and make sure that you'll fix it as soon as you can to get rid of some more serious problem...

I found out that my tires were "cupped" replaced them and now it's smooth.
