Default Read end sag + oversized tires. Options?

Hey guys... I just picked up a 2001 Cherokee Sport 4.0. The rear end is definitely sagging (not just appearance because of the wheel wells, actually sagging). It also has some 31" tires which is clearly the biggest it can get without a lift. When I put too much weight in the back (which is hardly any weight at all - 3 people in the back seat), it will then sag to the tires and rub. Not good. The difference in space between the front and rear is very noticeable, so I need recommendations.

I took it to a local and well known tire/suspension place and they gave me some options:

A) Replace the leafs as they appear to be stock and worn/flat. They say this will lift the rear back up a tad and add some stiffness, allowing me to tow stuff without sitting on the tires.

B) Replace the shocks. According to them, might add stiffness, but won't do much in terms of creating more gap between the tire and wheel well.

C) Replace the springs and lift it a couple inches. This would obviously do the trick, but I don't want to spend much money right now and I personally love the look the way it is (just need a slight lift in the rear).

Are these guys right? Any recommendations from experience? Tips? Much appreciated everyone and thanks!

Well with 31's you will probably rub quite a bit on stock suspension anyway.

So if I wanted to avoid a lift, are you saying that replacing the shocks would be the way to go?

No. The shocks dont keep the rear end up they just absorb the "shock" or roughness on the road. Get new springs!

Get an add a leaf and front spacer. Cheap and easy install. Or if you have the money get a new leaf pack.

You need new spring no if ands or buts. There's no way around it. And honestly I lifted mine with a Jy lift for about 100 bucks

Well the problem is that I don't really have the means to do it myself, or knowledge for that matter. I may just save up for the lift.
