Default RE 5.5" vs. Iron Rock 6.5"

I need your help folks. I have a buddy looking at a Long Arm lift and has narrowed it down to the Rubicon Express 5.5" or the Iron Rock 6.5" . Could yall take a look at both kits and let me know your opinion? The prices are comparable after purchasing the SYE, Drive Shaft, Quick Discos, Shock Boots, and factoring in Shipping. Looking at it, it appears that the Iron Rock kit does not have upper control arms and the RE does.

My buddy could use all the advice you've got. He is looking to push 33's without trimming (if possible).

Thanks for your advice,
s

when buying rubicon express, you are ensured a wonderful product. iron rock is new to the XJ scene so you dont really know what your getting durability wise. the iron rock does have one upper control arm.

How are the prices comparable, the only thing that you get with the RE kit is the Disco, so you would have to buy the Sye, DS, Shocks anyways? The RE kit will ride higher then advertised, not sure if that is an issue. I would go with the Iron Rock kit, cause from reading around and researching a bit people seem to prefer a 3 link kit.

i would buy r.e. you know it is going to be a good product with great customer service. sure the other kit is cheaper but they are also newer so who knows what will happen in a few years will they even be here anymore or will they still warranty there stuff.

they are both 3 link or y link setups all you have to do is remove a link from the r.e. kit and you have the same setup.
