Default RE 3.5"

i got a almost stock cherokee and im deff. wanting to lift it with 3.07 gears in the back is a RE 3.5 inch lift and 33's gonna kill me with mpg and kill my jeep with the stock t-case and the stock drive line i might be doing ocasional offroading i.e. mudding over some trails nothing special. any help is appreciated

Yes, for 33s you really need to regear to 4.10's the highest, 4.56 would be perfect though. If your lifting then say good bye to MPG.

I have the R.E. 3.5 and there is no way I will be getting 33's unless I do a good amount of trimming. For 33s you most likely will have to do trimming no matter what lift unless it is some rediculas height. For the t-case you may have to do a SYE or a tcase drop.

Start searching around to see what others have done, there is plenty of information on this site. I spent at least 2 months searching and gathering informatoin to figure out what lift kit I wanted and what I would have to do to get it to work.

I have a cherokee with a 6 inch lift with 33s, 307s, and stock drivetrain and its really not that bad on the road. It does feel slightly underpowered on hills especially in 5th gear. If your planning on doing some more serious wheelin I would suggest lower gears. Im planing on some 4.10s or 4.56s at some point. Also you might have to do some fender trimming.

its a 1998 two door with a 4.0 does that help any and what does yours get?

i dont agree with that though ive seen a 6 " high cherokee get 18 with 33's

I have the RE3.5, 33/12.and 4.56 and would not go any higher. I which I would had 4.88 but 4.56 ig great for the highway.

what do you get mpg wise on the highway with the 4.56 and how did you get 33's uder it fender triming?
