So i just only started noticing how strong this is but if im coming home from work and say i take a turn a little to quickly or brake suddenly like a light turns yellow and thinking about ramming down on the gas pedal but then see that magical state trooper badge on the other side and slam on the brakes instead. I smell raw gas and i been kinda poking around and cant seem to find out where its supposedly leaking from. I lowered the gas tank and looked around the lines and the fuel pump seal and even touched around and all is squeaky clean and try and my fingers dont smell like gas at all. and thats where the smell is the strongest. I swear i dont have a leak in my gas tank as i looked at every part and its dry but yet again strong smell of gas. Where else can i look and what else am i missing. I traced the lines back to the engine bay and theyre dry and not rusted or anything.

Filler hoses maybe? Mine were cracking when I changed them a few years ago. Then I would check the fuel filter and all those connections.

But the slamming the breaks when about to get going suggests either the gasoline slams in the tank and is seeping out of somewhere. Or the injectors are primed and then some gas leaks from an oring. But you smell nothing in the engine bay?

Check this. One is under the driver's door, the other is in the front part of the engine. See link inside link

I have had this very problem for a while as well.
For the life of me everything looked fine, and could not find any leaks.
A couple weeks ago when I was installing my new XRC rear bumper, I noticed where the leak was coming from after taking off the shield for the fuel filler hoses.
Those fuel filler hoses get a little brittle, and they do rub on the upper sheet metal. The leak/smell was actually coming from the vent hose.
So I ended up buying both hoses, the fuel tank vent, fuel filter, and a new fuel pump system from rock auto.
I figured since the Jeep has 184K on the fuel system, might as well drop the tank and do the job right.

Found it.... Poking around the filler neck area while having someone rock it the port going into the tank is cracked around the seam so made some epoxy and blapped a bit on there and lookie lookie no more smell.

Sorry for the bad picture but the red circled part is where i found mine right at the seam on the tank. Must of happened when i manhandled the hose on there after the 3rd fuel pump.

Be warned if your fuel has ethanol that epoxy won't last long.

I know we sell a fair amount of this at the store to a company that owns big dump trucks hauling gravel and whatnot. Guessing it does what they need it to do cause they keep buying it.

Seems like it might only be for metal tanks though.
