Hi all,
Ever since i bought my 96 XJ SE there has been a rattling sound coming from the rear. any ideas what this could be? thinking it could be a loose heat shield? anyone have this happen to them and it was an easy fix?
thanks

it could be the heat shield on the cat but you would notice that as coming more from directly under you. I have a rattle in the back and it is coming from the shock where it mounts up top. its in there good but it isn't all the way tight and there is a little play. go under there and grab your shocks towards the top and move it back and forth and up and down. if there is even a quarter inch of play it can rattle around pretty good.
