anyone know where the hell the drain plug is and what it looks like on a 98 cherokee sport

Its a little plastic thingy located on the lower right side of the radiator... You'll prob only be able to see it if you crawl under... Mine is a ***** to get too, and the front end damage made it a bit easier to get to, but it still sucks to reach...

Yup, bottom right side of the rad...taking the front grille off will make it a lot easier to get to.

so its on the front of the rad not the back towards the engine block ?

Nope, right on the side...

To be specific, It on the Lower, Right side of the car, centrally mounted on the RT Radiator tank...

Right side always denotes the passenger side (or as you said, view/orientation of the car as viewed from the drivers seat...)
