Radio won't work unless the antenna wire is not plugged in all the way. If plugged in all the way all I get is static. I checked the plug at the antenna and it's fine....any ideas?

 

id say antenna wire shorted out some where

 

There is a spring in the female end of the antenna wire, usually the casing becomes loose and causes the spring to push the male end out of the connection. Check to see if its pushing it out. I ended up taking the spring out on my 96 and it worked fine afterwards.

 

This spring is at the antenna end right? Cause I can tear into it

Well its 2 parts that can be wrong? How much more help do you need?
