hello, I have a 01 cherokee sport with the original am fm cassette , has anyone changed the bulbs for the radio presets buttons?

 

I'm in the process of changing the bulbs in my son's stock '94 radio, I don't know if your '01 will use the same bulb or not.

Check out bulb # 7219 from Chicago Miniature Lighting, it's just the bulb with wire leads but I was able to remove the old bulb from the gray plastic base, transfer the blue filter to the new bulb, and it looks like it will work.

EDIT: I finished the replacement of the bulbs. The two bulbs for the LCD backlight were soldered to the board and not easy to replace.
But I got it done, now the radio lights up just like the day it drove off the lot! Well worth the effort, IMHO.
