Radiator swap help!

Default Radiator swap help!

I have a 96 Cherokee Sport 4.0 litre high output and the radiators been leaking. So i bought a new one, a replacement but whats the easiest way to go swapping it out? Thanks

I would start by taking the old one out.
Its much easier to replace it that way.


Removal is pretty easy take the belt off pull the hoses pull the shroud pull the old radiator

Theres only one way to do it...
Drain radiator, take header panel off, remove top support, remove hoses/trans lines, pull out radiator.
Do your thermostat while youre at it. 195*, get a good brand like Stant. Get a gasket and put a 1/8" bead all around on both sides. Do not overtighten the bolts.
Do your hoses if they havent been changed lately too.
This stuff is alot easier to do with the radiator out.
