Hi, I'm new to this forum.
I have a Jeep Cherokee Classic 2001. I use it daily and travel 150km per day. So far it has had no problems and maintenance have been done on time with the local Jeep dealer. But recently the water levels has been decreases in large quantities and radiator leaks have occurred.
For the past 3 months or so, i have replaced 3 radiators. The one currently fitted seems fine but my guess is that the radiator cap is leaking all the fluid. so therefore i have replaced over 4 radiator caps. But the problems hasn't been solved yet. Maybe the radiator caps can't withstand the pressure?
Plus, the day that it happened i was traveling about 160km/h constantly out in a 50 degree celsius heat. Maybe i broke something? i dont know.
It would greatly appreciated if you guys could help me out since i'm running out of ideas.

Check your oil for any sludge. Your year has the 0331 head and it is very common for them to crack. If you have any sludge in the oil stop driving it and drain the oil or you can damage the bearing if not already.
Another thing is how many pounds are the radiator caps that you have been putting on. It should be a 16lb. cap. Make sure that the cap is sealing. Many times when you replace the radiator the cap wont seal right. I have found if you bend the metal tabs on the cap that would take care of that.

My 2001 was using coolant. About half a the reservoir every 500 miles. I had no leaks and suspected a cracked head. There was no oil in coolant or coolant in oil. Sent oil sample to Blackstone and it came back positive with coolant in it. Replaced the head with a Clearwater head in October and it hasn't used a drop of coolant in 6000 miles.
