Default Radiator leak

So i have a 91 and ive noticed that when its below zero and i drive my jeep it leaks but any other day above 30 degrees it doesnt. Why?

the passenger side corner. but its the weirdest thing it wasnt leaking for about 2 weeks and now it started again. its not ike OMG ITS LEAKING. its just enough to notice

Weird that it only happens below zero. You have good antifreeze in it? On mine the radiator drain plug is in the lower passenger side. Check it to make sure it's not loose, if the leak is from there, you may want to replace it or change out the o-ring.

You know, now that I remember, mine had a similar leak and there was a tiny crack on the small hose that goes to the reservoir.

I think a lot of the radiators are plastic bonded to metal and tend to leak at the seam, not enough to cause overheating but enough where you can see or smell a small amount of coolant. Just throwing that out there, not sure if it would be different 0 vs. 30 degree temp wise though.

could be, expansion and contraction. after a long time on the same piece, cracks and broken seams will develop.

sounds like it is probably just due to weathered or cracked rubber, be it a hose or something easy to fix like that.

thanks guys. ya i freaked at first because i saw coolant on the ground but it wasnt that bad.

yup that was it since it was so cold and the engine was so hot theres a tiny leak but now that its at least 30 out its all dried up. thanks
