I'll be replacing my leaking radiator tomorrow and discovered that the previous owner never installed the rubber isolators for the radiator. I ordered a set but they don't come with the nuts (3 per side). Does anyone know what size nuts I'll be needing? The isolators won't be here in time for the replacement, so I'll temporarily secure it till I get them. In the mean time, I want to hunt down the proper hardware.....
The leaking rad appears to be fairly new. No doubt the lack of isolators led to it's demise....

 

take them to hardware store buy nuts....

 

That won't work, at least for the studs on the radiator as it will be installed in the vehicle. I live in a rural area and the nearest town is a 15 mile round trip. So hiking with a radiator in hand for 15 miles isn't in the program. When I get the isolators, matching the studs in them isn't a problem. The ones on the rad are the real mystery....
