Default Radiator Cooling Fan

Is the radiator cooling fan the one that runs all the time, or the one that comes on intermittently? The one that runs all the time still works, but it seems like the one that came on intermittently doesn't any more. They're both near the radiator.

I haven't noticed any overheating, but it's not exactly hot. I let it idle for about 12 minutes once fully warmed up, and never went above 210, which is what it's normally at.

I have a check engine light code that says something like clutch fan circuit open/shorted, but all the fuses are okay.

Also, air conditioning no longer works. Heater still works, though.

So that fan not spinning explains why the A/C isn't working? Also sounds like the reason I have a CEL.

Anybody know the most likely problem(s) and solution(s) to get this fan working?

eh, it could be a problem with a) the fan itself, b) the body harness c) the fuse relay (very unlikely). I have yet to figure mine out but for the time being I jumped the relay box so the fan turns on all the time when the car is in the accessory position. I have no complaints. Temp is right around 195-210.

temp sensor in the radiator?? could be causing it not to turn on. Clueless about the a/c
