Radiator
I have a 96 Sport and have had on and off problems with cooling. I've replaced the water pump thermostat and also the fan clutch. I flushed the radiator 4 times with in a week. And it still seems to dirty. Sometimes it runs about 190 degrees and at other times runs around 210 or slightly more. So I decided not to screw around with it anymore and just buy a new radiator. Found out that most have plastic tanks. But I did find one with metal tanks. Any opinions on either plastic or metal tanks? Which would be better? Thanks for your imput!

i would say plastic cuz it wont rot. i just did one on my 96 the other day. the 4.0s do run hot. just about 210 is normal, and ive heard of higher temps when wheeling. i flushed mine thouroughly after i replaced it and it runs just about 200 ish. i say get the plastic tank one and youll be fine after you flush it. just curious, are you only flushing the radiator or are you flushing everything? the radiator only holds about 40% of the coolant out of the whole system...

Metal tanks... avoid the crappy splitting plastic.
I'd suggest contacting Dirk at www.dpgoffroad.com about the CSF three core metal rad.

210 is normal, and it should always run at that temperature when at operating temperature. I would change the thermostat to a quality Mopar unit as a matter of maintenance, and I bet it runs 210 all the time after that.
