Default Radiator for a 1997 5 spd cherokee

Can anyone tell me which year radiators will swap into my 97'? And if it matters if it comes from a auto or manual? I'm having an engine swap done and they tell me the radiator is leaking, and I'm on too tight a budget to get a new one.

Just buy a new radiator, they're only about 150 bucks brand new. Do not use a used radiator if you're doing an engine swap, it's just cheap insurance to have a sound cooling system with a new engine.

I know it's $150 and that's too much. The engine is used (130k) too. Tight budget as in possible over budget. If a used radiator lasts me a couple months then its worth $50.

If u go used, best to have it internally inspected.

So I can't imagine the design changing over the years, and trans cooling in/outlets can be plugged. Will the pre 97' Cherokees work?

Anything 91 and newer from a 4.0 will work.
