I drilled thru my roof almost under my rack and ran my wires thru it. Ground is right inside on a roof support and power I took from the fuse block. Of coarse I used rtv and a rubber gromet to run the wires thru in the roof so it doesn't leak nor cut the wires

i am not sure about all years but my 98 has a great big fire wall plug behind the glove box; this also makes for a great area to place your switching relay(fuse panel is right there).

so if it were me i would wire the lights to the passenger side

drill a hole in the roof, above passenger side as close to the a piller as possible
run the wire using a grommet to protect wire

run down a-piller behind trim

poke a hole through the fire wall plug and run to the power dist. point on relay box.

connect a switch(low amp) via line to lighting relay from a switch on your dash somewhere

use some rtv sealent on gromment to keep water out....

get a marine bulkhead passthrough, i think that's what it's called, install it in the roof and there's how you run it.

I ran my wires along my roof rack and through the back hatch and hid it behind the interior pannels and then trough the firewall rubber gromet as mentioned above
