Top speed in 4lo is like 40MPH... Even with big tires (which would be very unstable at speed with stock suspension) the top speed isn't going to be enough to get a 14 second pass.

our rigs weigh less than most camaros. I want to strip mine I just dont feel like doing f350 u joint conversion. Every time i shift from first to second I **** the driveshaft from under the car and snap the yoke.

A Jeep Cherokee and a 4th gen Camaro both weight 3400-3500lbs stock. I know because I own both and have weighed both. Jeep at the metal recycling yard and the Camaro at the track.

2wd manual XJ's can weigh as low as 2800-2900 lbs stock and few less if you gut it.

You would have to put 190HP to the wheels and strip the Jeep down to about 2500 lbs before it would be the same power/weight ratio as a stock LT1 4th gen Camaro.

Thats like comparing apples to oranges. I6 motor that is a 50 yr old design in a big box compared to aluminum headed SBC in a sports car. Now if you dropped the LT1 in the XJ you would be getting some impressive results

I'm not comparing. Maybe I was misinterpreted... The benchmark for the OP is basically what a stock LT1 Camaro runs (high 14's low 15's) so you would need to get a similar power/weight ratio for a Jeep to run that.

That's all.

if you get the 60' time down your ET will greatly improve. I know from your post that isn't what you wanted to hear.

How was traction? Did you spin?
