I am manually "tightening" the rear brake shoes. I want to know will it be harder to turn that "screw" when the shoes actually hit the drum? I don't want to turn the "screw" to far and have it separate and rattle in the drums.

Tighten until you cant hardly spin the wheels then back them off so theres "some" friction. both wheels have to be off the ground to do this. thats about all I can say. hope it helps.
