It is a tech question but just want to see if it actually is important or not. I put the Jeep in 4 hi when it is raining heavily, however when I put it back in 2wd it doesnt immediately shift back but it will eventually just pop back into 2wd. Do I have to shift it at a stop or something because I usually just do it on the fly. Just curious really.

It's all an rpm thing. It will dissengage automaticly when the all wheels come to a stop, but must time with my truck I usually just stop and roll back a foot and then move forward and presto....2wd.

It has to "roll" Back to 2wd, not an imediate switch.

Should still work forward but may take a little farther.

I figured. It doesnt matter much to me but as you know Florida has these strange flash thunderstorms that are so bad you cant see but 5 feet in front of you. Well at least close to the ocean we do. Then 5 minutes later they are over. Man I love it here.

When I disengage, I take off in 2WD, I let up on the throttle, and it slips right out everytime.
