My 99 XJ did not come with factory driving lights but I noticed that I have a connection for driving lights behind the center bezel where the factory lights would connect and I also have a connection behind my front bumper. From what I've read it sounds like all the wiring is there to run driving lights. Is that correct? All I would need to do is get a switch, relay and fuse. Where is the factory location to mount the relay and which fuse location is the factory driving light fuse? Thanks, Mike

E hard way
Are what you want also called day time running lights? Or what are normaly called fog lights that sit below the bumper?
DTR (day time running lights) use a module found on the passenger fenderwell near the firewall IF your wiring harness is made for it. Found out that there are different wiring harnesses for abs brakes and other options the hard way.
If your looking for fog lights the plugs are behind the bumper near where the fogs bolt up.
They are on every harness. You just need to plug in the switch. They only come on when you have the headlights on low beam.
If the connection your talking about is in the middle of the bumper, it's for the temp sensor used in the overhead consoles

I'm talking about the lights that would go below the bumper (fog/driving lights). I was thinking the the unused wire behind the middle of the front bumper was for those. You're saying that is for the overhead console? I looked for some unused wires above where the fog/driving lights would go but found none. Do I need to break open the loom or are they readily accessible?
