Default question for those with a class III Curt hitch..

is your receiver a bit loose with anything attached to it? I have a Reese ball attached to it, it slides in and a pin holds it in place, it fits pretty loose in the Curt receiver, enough to be annoying.. I was going to fix it by shimming with either tape or metal.. Just wondered if anyone else had the issue with a Curt hitch.

Don't know about the curt but I have a putnum (sp) and it is also very loose. Temp fix duct tape. Good fix run a weld down each side and then grind it to fit tight.

Every hitch I've had, including the Curt, has been like that.
