Default Question on rocker panels

My panels under the doors and behind the rear wheels have rust and I want to remove them. I noticed some people on here have cut the lower part of the fender flares off. I have a 1992 xj and want to make this mod before winter. I have my xj posted on my album. Any help would be great.

Default Rocker repair

The panel below your doors are the rocker panels. Because of where I live mine rotted out pretty good. I did a cheap fix for inspection, but I found this site that shows an awesome fix for rockers that will beef em up for wheelin too. I'll be doing this to my 97 real soon.
