Question about a right hand drive steering box

Is anyone familiar with what direction the threading is on the pitman arm nut. Can’t get it off. It is right hand drive with the stock gearbox. 1997 rhd xj

on a RHD box, the thread should be as normal..ie undoes anti-clockwise...on every other RHD steering box I have done anyway, I live in Australia

can you see any thread poking out from the bottom of the nut?

run a sharp point along the thread, will tell you

Sorry for the delayed response. It was a normal thread just stuck on. Had to replace the gearbox anyways so I went ahead and got a new pitman arm. Thanks for the help
