Default question

i have a 2001 cherokee sport but its 2wd. im gonna put a lift in a couple months. thinking atleast 3.5". i read tht if u have 3.5" or higher they recommend a longer drive shaft and a sye (thts for a 4x4 so i guess i wouldnt need tht)

Would i need anything like this for this lift to work right?

no t-case on this one. I would get a locker in the 2wd set up- It will be almost as good as a stock 4x4 set-up with the addition of the locker. Most stock 4x4 set ups only have two live tires anyway.

Should be fine at 3 to 3.5 inches. Above that, I'm not sure. No transfer case involved, but what about steering and suspension angles? Especially in the front end. How are you planning on accomplishing this much lift? And what size tire?

I'm also lifting a 2wd in the next month or 2. Planning on using bastard pack in the rear and spring spacers up front. Might use Grand Cherokee coils plus spacers up front. But I'm only looking for 2.5 to 3 inches. Gonna run 30X9.50.

Keep us posted please. There aren't a lot of 2wd posts.

The 2wd has a longer drive shaft do the the lack of t-case so you shouldn't have any or very little vibrations. Good luck with the lift and make sure to post some pics.
