Putting a 3 inch lift on
I am in the middle of putting a rough country 3 inch lift kit on my 99 xj and i was wondering if you guys have had problems wit the front rear shifting over and the new control arms not lining up?? I struggled to get the bolts back in. i eventually got them in and tightened them up. but its still shifted to the drivers side and you can see how the control arms are off a bit. its on a lift so im wondering if when i get done the back and lower it down will it line back up and center itself when the jeep is on the ground? If anyone has come across this before please let me know how you made out. greatly appreciated.

x2. when you install a lift, the tendency is for the axle to move towards the drivers side because the track bar will pull it over. you can either drill a hole 3/4" over to the side of the bracket, or install an adjustable track bar.

Yes, it will shift back over when you let it down.
Disconnect the axle side of the track bar and let it down on the ground, then reconnect it. You might have to shimmy the XJ to get the hole to line up right.
Then measure to see if your axle is still centered. If not, you need an adjustable track bar.
