The most common transfer cases in domestic vehicles will be the New Process/New Venture Gear (typically listed as "NPxxx") and the BorgWarner ("BWxxxx" or "BWxx-xx") models.
That almost looks like you're trying to write "Peugeot." If that is the case, there were Peugeot transmissions (not necessarily 4WD - the transfer case is what makes that happen) used in the XJ and MJ 1987-1988.5, and they're only fit for scrap metal. Period. Replace with an AX-15 or NV3550 at your earliest convenience.
