So, I own a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic, and just had a new high volume oil pump installed. My Jeep mechanic stated the there are issues with the bearings in the engine. I am considering buying a new 4.0 engine for this Jeep. It is my dream car and in excellent condition otherwise. Question is, if I purchase a new engine, what kind of a mechanic will install? I am purchasing for 2500-3000 new. My mechanic does not have the desire to do it unfortunately.Thanks for the info in advance.

 

I would suggest asking the people who you are buying the engine from.
