progressive Clicking, grind, then metal chunks.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction regarding what I need to replace on my jeep.
Here's the backstory:
Out doing errands today, I notice an occasional clicking noise from the front right wheel (sounded like the front left until further inspection) When almost home, it got progressively louder very quickly then a block from home there was a loud pop then grinding for 10 seconds or so. I got her home and looked at the wheels, having just replaced a caliper rotors and pads I thought maybe a loose caliper until I noticed a few chunks of metal under the caliper on the inside of the wheel. The grinding and clicking is now pretty bad with any movement.
Here's a pic of the chunks, anybody know what blew up?
